Blaze Yoga and Hot Pilates - Relax & Get Fit
Updated: Mar 8, 2019
Recharge, refresh, rejuvenate! Stretch your sore muscles while strengthening your body with these two delightful exercises.
Blaze Yoga NH has the distinct honor of being the very first Portsmouth business to accept Bitcoin. That gives them a special designation on the World Famous Bitcoin Tour as the first place you should go. The exercise will give you the strength and energy you need for the rest of the tour, and it is a fun way to spend time with your friends and family while you do something good for your body. All levels welcome from beginner to expert.
“I've actually had clients come down from Northern New Hampshire to take class at my yoga studio, not because they were interested in the style of yoga that I teach, but because we accept crypto.” - Owner, Sara
There is nothing special that you need to bring. Just crypto, of course. They supply a yoga mat and towel for $1 each, or you can bring your own. I recommend renting so you have less to carry with you. This place does have showers as well so you can leave feeling fresh and clean.
How to score a home run at this location:
Bring Dash or Bitcoin with you. Show up 30 minutes early for the class you plan on attending. That way there is time for you to fill out a new student waiver, get acquainted with the studio, pay for class and maybe a water bottle and a rental towel, with plenty of time left over to get changed, find a good place for your practice, and acclimate your body to the hot room. The owners' names Sara and Jaylon. They are super knowledgable and friendly, and usually one of them is available if you have questions about bitcoin. Otherwise, any of the teachers will be happy to address any concerns you may have about an injury or sore spot that requires special attention during your practice.
The schedule for classes is here. I recommend going to the Pilates if you feel young and going to the Yoga if you feel old. You know who you are. Pilates is 60 minutes and done to music. It flies by. Works the core. Yoga is generally 90 minutes, goes at a slow pace, and takes place in silence. Each one has a teacher at the front leading the class into each posture or exercise. If you feel dizzy, just sit down on your mat. It is fine. No one will both you. Just don't leave the room, or the teacher will worry about you. At the end of class, your energy will be high and you will sleep extra well that night. Drink lots of water before and after class. You might be a little sore tomorrow, but it's a good sore.
